	Captions: (1) The first poster that we created (Above &#38;amp; Below, Russell Crotty/David Lloyd)* was designed on the train during my commute to Brooklyn. Screenshots were fired, changes were made during my break and files were sent before my students came back... Although the process has expanded since then, I try to iterate 10–25 directions in the first part of the day and then make Charles decide which direction to go. We usually print 2–3 posters, my goal is to make the decision as difficult as possible, and there hasn’t been a show where we’ve disagreed. Its a game, but I try to make it so&#38;nbsp; there’s no way to lose, the fun is baked into each direction. Another part of the game is to work within typographic restrictions, only using DADA Grotesk and mostly all caps to start. Scale &#38;amp; color open up the playing field and allow ideas, personality, and meaning into the mix.


	Captions: (2) The system has remained consistant and clear due to time restraints, the gallery installs a new show monthly. However, its been advantageous in the overall look and feel that has developed over time... a bit of sophistication, a lot of power, and a bit of a smirk. Within this box, we also provide space for the artist’s work to shine through with little interuption. We’d like to thank the artists for their work, impact, and trust. 	Captions: (1) Title Iterations. Using a variety of techniques (analog/digital) letterforms were turned into beasts, torn bits, psychedelic visions, and bleeding hearts; (2) Approved Title Treatment. This was a mixture of Barney meets slasher movies from the 1970s. Buddy is a twisted entity and rather brutal with the use of his horn, we wanted that shape to tear right through the heart of the wordmark;   (3) Key Art Iterations. Using that same mix of sweet and sour (to put it mildy) we played with imagery that helps frame in the beast and the children into this twisted 20 minute hellscape. With each one, Buddy’s true natured is revealed and the world starts to shred its oversaturated warmth and sense of security.&#38;nbsp;

	Captions: (1) Each interstial card and animation reflects the mood and moment of the time and cast of characters. The team thought carefully about color palette, scale, and positioning of typography to emote the necessary details to the audience in an instance. This was a print based exercise that came to life through animation and carefully controlled movements/buildup. Helvetica helped us move through the ages without feeling stale or dated. 	Captions: (1) Cover is 1c printed on silver paper with PVC wrap silkscreened white; (2) Gallery with artwork cropped at 100% allows the reader to see the artwork at full detail; (3) Section interstials were printed silver on pink paper to illustrate the interconnectivity between man and machine. Display type references the mark and displacement of industrial type; (4) Type system based on traditional set type blocks with modern obstructions (figs and footnotes); (5) Exhibition walk through allows the reader expierence the artwork as it was intended to be setup in the slaughterhouse. QR code is functional.


	(6) Essays, Interviews, and Insights. The type sizing and column widths were designed to create an optimal reading experience for the reader. Allowing flexibility and room to move depending on the speed of reading and focus; (7) Sequences. Since half of the show was projected work we needed a way to display the ideas and craft in a printed format; (8) Encounters. Jake Brodsky provides an expanded index for each work exhibitted, providing cited historic context and anecdotes; (9) ASCII art was invented, because early printers often lacked graphics ability and thus, characters were used in place of graphic marks.

Earnest explores the interconnections between Schutz’s long-standing painting practice and her more recent engagement with sculpture, offering a fascinating reflection on her thematic explorations and artistic inquiry, and the conceptual underpinnings of her work. The text is accompanied by behind-the-scenes photography by Jason Schmidt, which offers an intimate view of the artist at work.

	Captions: (1) The posters take a reflective look at design from then (1970s) and now. Looking through the lens of film and music to create an iconic image for a timeless film. They should feel filmic and atmospheric; a blend between the real/unreal and everyday/celestial. Since George shot these sequences on a knee board with a homemade camera strapped to his back, we should feel every bounce, every studder, and every slip. (2) A number of variations were created for each structure, this was an exercise to find the right pairing of images for the event. The client was a key collaborator in finding the right connection. (3) This is the main poster we used for the theatre kiosk, it is a chronological representation of Greenough’s film, each frame is exported at 1 frame per second (the film was shot at 24f/s). (4) Merchandise was developed for the film premiere, hats and tee shirtswere printed in limited editions.&#38;nbsp;


	(5) I dove into the rabbit hole. Pink Floyd’s Echoes on repeat for 6 days straight. Drawing lines between George’s film, Pink Floyd’s live performance of Echoes in Pompeii, and Stanley Kubrick’s Jupiter and Beyond segment from&#38;nbsp;2001: A Space Odyssey. In each, there is a chance or hope to find connection. A connection between people and even more apparent, with ourselves in the past/present/future. A brief glimpse in real time of a warping/changing POV as we weave through space. At least thats what I found intriguing (and I could be wrong); (6) The Book. After watching all three films and exporting George’s Echoes, we can start to appreciate all that he was able to capture. Traveling through the movie, we found it best to layout a book to be holistic in finding the best photographic options (and celebrate the passing moments); (7) These are the out there fun analog/digital explorations.

The title of the exhibition, It’s Yours, is borrowed from a song by the influential Bronx rapper T La Rock, who assured his fans that his work would continue to be about and for them no matter what.
