Captions: (1) Title Iterations. Using a variety of techniques (analog/digital) letterforms were turned into beasts, torn bits, psychedelic visions, and bleeding hearts; (2) Approved Title Treatment. This was a mixture of Barney meets slasher movies from the 1970s. Buddy is a twisted entity and rather brutal with the use of his horn, we wanted that shape to tear right through the heart of the wordmark; (3) Key Art Iterations. Using that same mix of sweet and sour (to put it mildy) we played with imagery that helps frame in the beast and the children into this twisted 20 minute hellscape. With each one, Buddy’s true natured is revealed and the world starts to shred its oversaturated warmth and sense of security.
